Dinner with Sumo Wrestlers

Being in Japan means you will observe someday a huge strong men walking around during a specific time in the year. If you see them, cheer up they are Sumo wrestlers. We were told about them in our “Adjusting to Japan” course but we couldn't really realize how their actual life is like until we visited them in their place and took a very delicious dinner with them. That night we were really excited about seeing and spending time with sumo wrestlers. This different experience began when we passed through a dark tunnel-like room and then we were surprised by the place where they train. First, you are not allowed to enter nor touch the wrestling ring. They are tough, this what is really going to hit your mind when you first take a look at them closely. However, after a time with them we realized that they are kind. They asked if we need more food. They allowed us to take photos with them as well. It was a very interesting experience from a lot of experiences I gained as a member in the Japanese community. I really recommend you to have this experience. It is wonderful!
